Sochi Games is a portrait of Adler District, a redeveloped village located next to the town of Sochi on Russia’s Black Sea coast at the epicenter of the 2014 Winter Olympic Games.
The 2014 Winter Olympics were the most expensive in the history of the sporting event, costing an excess of 50 billion US dollars.
From intensive building along Adler’s coastline, to concerns of ecological destruction deep into the Caucasus Mountains, Putin’s Sochi Olympics had a distinct impact on the physical and socio-cultural environment of the region.
